Quote favorite banget di divergent series: Insurgent.

Keinginan membaca divergent muncul ketika aku pertama kali liat filmnya. Cerita Divergent itu ibaratnya kayak gabungan The Hunger Games dan Harry Potter. I adore with Beatrice Prior (Tris)  and Tobias Eaton (Four). Aku suka tris, dia jagoan cewek yang tak kenal putus asa dan berani, tipe yang kusuka. She’s brave an just being her, ga peduli dia lahir di faksi mana. Yang terpenting adalah apa yang ada di dalam dirinya dan dia jujur akan hal itu.

Mungkin yang udah liat duluan The Hunger Games pasti membanding-bandingkan Tris dengan Katniss Everdeen “The Hunger Games”. Tapi enggak tau kenapa, aku lebih tertarik dengan kepribadian Tris. Entah terlepas dari pemeran utamanya diperanin sama Shailene Woodley apa enggak, yang jelas di film The Fault in Our stars, Shai dengan bagusnya memerankan cewek pengidap kanker. Yang kerennya, aku melihat 2 kepribadian yang berbeda. So thats good...

Aku udah baca semua trilogi divergent, tapi menurutku yang paling bagus adalah seri pertama dan kedua. Meskipun seharusnya buku yang terakhir menjadi pamungkas, aku sempat bosen baca di awal-awal buku “Allegiant”. Tapi yang jelas, endingnya bikin sedih banget. Film pertama “Divergent” menurutku udah sesuai lah sama kayak di novel, meski ada beberapa part yang dicepetin. Mostly novel yang  diadaptasi kebanyakan gitu sih, jadi ga heran buat mempersingkat durasi film. Terus ada “Insurgent” film kedua yang habis tayang di bioskop tahun 2015 ini. Karena udah baca novel yang pertama, jadi kebanyakan cerita di film banyak yang ketebak. Cuman kekurangan cerita fiksi itu kadang ga masuk diakal, tapi kalo buat aku yang demen cerita fiksi yang imajinatif ya sah-sah. Toh itu haknya penulis mau bikin cerita kayak gimana, semua tergantung selera. Hehehe...

Setelah baca buku ini, mungkin ada pesan yang bisa kita petik, cekidot:

1. Pintar-pintarlah dalam memilih temanmu, terkadang temanmu bisa berbalik menyerang dan menjadi musuhmu. Maybe I’m a picky friend, aku kadang ogah temenan sama orang yang sekiranya ga tulus sama aku, ga munak. Because I’m not a fake person, aku ga suka orang yang kelihatan baik di depan tapi ternyata ada maksud di belakang. Jahat sih, yaudah. Namanya juga idup wkwk

2. Belajarlah untuk selalu berani, mengatasi ketakutan dan kepengecutan namun juga selalu mementingkan kepentingan orang lain. Be brave dude

3. Faction before blood? No.. kamu ga akan bisa pernah melupakan dari mana kamu lahir walaupun kamu yang sekarang berbeda dari apa dan bagaimana kamu dulu di lahirkan dan dibesarkan . “Once Family, Still A family”.

I reached out to Divergent lovers to discover which scenes from the book they are most excited to see come to life in the film. Here we go...

·         Beatrice’s First Simulation: This is the moment in which we learn about “Beatrice” being “Divergent.” “Tori” oversees her “cheese or knife” simulation and finds that she has a real reason to feel conflicted about her choice . . . and to hide. Indeed, one has to wonder how this simulation, and others which follow, will “look” in the film.

·         The Choosing Ceremony: It happens early in the book, but it is crucial. The “Hub” becomes a place wherein “Beatrice” and “Caleb” select their futures – and choose whether they will spend their lives with eachother and their parents or not.

·         Initiation: “First jumper!” When the “Stiff” ditches her gray robe and takes the first leap into the brave unknown, it is a turning point in the story. Fans also pointed to her first jump onto the train and her decision to get tattoos as must-see moments in the Divergent film adaptation.

·         Knife to the Ear: As “Tris” is moving quickly up the ladder of initiates, “Four” finds a way to knock her down a peg . . . for her own good. “Tris” stands up to “Eric” as he tortures the frightened “Al,” and “Four” is made to throw knives at a target just behind her. He causes one to nick her ear just to show that he has no favoritism for her, and many have said they’re excited to see this play out.

·         First Kiss: Of course this is a must-see. That goes without saying.

·         Fear Landscapes: “Tris” journeys into a few different fear landscapes throughout Divergent, but the ones fans were most responsive to seeing on-screen were her own and “Four’s.”
